PlayWendGame (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is involved when you play Wend, how it is used, and the choices you have. Playing does not require an account, and we keep data collection minimal by design.

We do not require registration to play. Your gameplay progress, streaks, and best times are stored locally in your browser via localStorage so they persist between sessions. Clearing your browser storage resets that data. If you choose to sign in with an optional account, we store the account details you provide (such as your email address) through our sign-in provider. Our analytics and advertising partners may also automatically collect technical data such as your browser type, device type, and approximate region derived from your IP address, as described below.

3. How we use information

Locally stored progress exists only to run the game on your device — to restore a board in progress, track streaks, and remember preferences. Aggregate, anonymized analytics (below) help us understand which pages are used so we can improve the site.

4.1 Advertising (Playwire)

All or partial advertising on this Website or App is managed by Playwire LLC. If Playwire publisher advertising services are used, Playwire LLC may collect and use certain aggregated and anonymized data for advertising purposes. 4.2 Google Analytics

If the operator has enabled Google Analytics 4 (via the NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID environment variable), aggregated, anonymized usage data such as page views and referrers may be processed by Google on our behalf. If analytics are not enabled, no analytics cookies are set. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the official browser add-on.

5. Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics may set analytics cookies when analytics is enabled, and our advertising partners may set cookies and similar technologies as described in section 4.1. Everything needed to save your game progress uses localStorage, not cookies. Where required by law, a consent banner lets you manage your cookie and advertising choices. You can also control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.

6. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share data only with the analytics processor and advertising partner described above, or where required by law.

7. Data security

Because playing requires no account and we keep data collection minimal, there is little sensitive data to expose. Data stored in your browser stays on your device. We take reasonable measures to keep the site secure, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under applicable privacy laws you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personal identifiers for gameplay, you can exercise most of these rights simply by clearing your browser storage. For anything else, contact us (below).

9. Children’s privacy

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. No account or personal data is required to play.

10. Data retention

Locally stored progress remains in your browser until you clear it. Anonymized analytics are retained by Google per Google’s own retention settings, and advertising data is retained by Playwire according to its own retention policy.
